About
Welcome to Le Bistrot Pop Cafe, a charming dining spot nestled in the heart of Tehran, specifically located in District 6 on Afshar Street. This café seamlessly blends nostalgia with a buzzing contemporary vibe, reminiscent of its roots as an old bar while embracing its new identity as a popular café destination.
From the moment you step inside, the air is infused with the inviting scent of aged wood, which, combined with the beautifully curated décor and unique artifacts, creates an atmosphere steeped in history. The café features both indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing patrons to enjoy their meals either in the cozy, dimly lit interiors or in a vibrant garden filled with greenery and artistic touches.
Le Bistrot Pop Cafe takes pride in its food offerings. Customers rave about the freshness and flavor that each dish brings. Whether you're diving into their delightful garden salad or indulging in dishes like the Pomo chicken or chicken pesto sandwich—both of which have garnered glowing reviews for their taste—you are sure to find something that pleases your palate. However, it's worth noting that experiences can be a mixed bag; while many dishes shine, others might not meet the same high standards.
The drink selection deserves a special mention, particularly their creative mocktails that are not only visually appealing but also refreshingly delicious. These beverages add a touch of excitement to the dining experience, elevating it beyond the ordinary.
Despite the café's inviting atmosphere and delectable offerings, it's important to highlight some areas needing improvement. Several customers have reported inconsistencies in service, including a lack of attentiveness and organization from the staff. While the café boasts a good number of personnel, patrons have noted that the quality of service doesn’t always align with expectations. This is an area where Le Bistrot Pop Cafe could enhance the overall customer experience.
In conclusion, Le Bistrot Pop Cafe is an exciting destination for food lovers seeking a blend of tradition and contemporary enjoyment. With its rich atmosphere, a menu filled with both hits and misses, and a vibrant drink selection, it promises a memorable visit. Just be prepared for potential service hiccups, and you may still find yourself enamored with this delightful Tehrani gem.
“ For food, both the pepperoni pizza was delicious and large, although it tasted ordinary, and the fried potatoes were very delicious. It has good sherbats, the lemonade was excellent, and the soda. The English plate was great for breakfast. I also tried "Salcia Omelet" which was egg with sausage, which was very delicious. It could be ordered with or without paste. The pasta was very salty and the burger completely fell apart with one bite. ”
“ I recently visited Le Bistrot Pop Cafe and overall, I had a mixed experience. The cafe has a wonderful and ancient atmosphere, creating a unique ambiance that adds to the overall charm. The indoor and outdoor areas each have their own character, allowing guests to choose where they prefer to spend their time. However, one downside is that smoking is allowed both indoors and outdoors, which can be quite inconvenient for non-smoking guests. It would be more accommodating if they designated separate areas for smokers and non-smokers. On the bright side, the food at Le Bistrot Pop Cafe is truly exceptional. The quality and presentation of the dishes are top-notch, setting them apart from similar restaurants. Additionally, their selection of traditional drinks is not only delicious but also refreshing. The drinks are creatively decorated and presented, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Unfortunately, the service at Le Bistrot Pop Cafe left much to be desired. Like many other restaurants in Iran, they seem to lack the basic principles of customer service. During my last visit, despite several empty tables, we were not given a regular table and were instead asked to sit at the bar. Furthermore, the timing of food delivery was inconsistent, with some members of our group receiving their meals before others, causing inconvenience and disruption. It is worth mentioning that the cafe appeared to have an abundance of staff on the floor, but their organization and allocation of tasks were lacking. This resulted in a prolonged and inconvenient ordering process. In conclusion, while Le Bistrot Pop Cafe offers a great atmosphere, excellent food quality, and delightful traditional drinks, their service needs significant improvement. It is my hope that they address the shortcomings in their service and strive to provide a more satisfying experience for their guests. ”
“ Beatiful cafe and restaurant, which used to be an old bar. They kept the bar decor inside, and the indoor atmosphere is dark and cozy. Their outdoor area is full of plants and trees, and some pretty artwork. The food was a gamble though, some dishes were great, some were mediocre at best. Burger wasn't good, fries were nothing special, salad was fine, pomo chicken was tasty, and chicken pesto sandwich was tasty and fresh. Mocktails were amazing. The service was not good. Our ketchup was clearly spoiled, and we asked them to change it, the new one was also spoiled. When we complained they insisted we were sensetive and its fine, but it clearly smelled spoiled. ”
“ The atmosphere was truly delightful and soothing — it felt like sitting in a beautiful garden with soft music and a gentle, cool breeze. The dinner was diverse, tasty, and satisfying, though a bit too oily and heavy on the sauces. The cinnamon tea at the end was fragrant and a lovely finishing touch. ”
“ I really like this café because it’s right in the heart of the city I love, and it feels like a piece of history. The scent of old wood, the beautiful décor, and the unique items create a special atmosphere. I especially enjoy the garden salad, though there are plenty of other delicious options as well. The food is always fresh and tasty, and the prices are reasonable. ”
“ Old-school gem in the heart of Tehran; formerly a high-end disco; amazing 60s and 70s vibe and decor; friendly, attentive staff; ample indoor and outdoor seating; can be crowded during happy hours so a reservation ahead is recommended; delicious items, though food variety is a bit limited; great music playlists; definitely a place to go with a group of friends for a wonderful, lazy evening before the weekend. Totally recommended! ”
“ The food and service here are absolutely excellent. No matter which dish you choose from the menu, you’re guaranteed to love it. The variety is impressive, and the staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommended! ”
